@nprofile1q... Asimov's premise was that it was technically impossible to create a positronic brain without the 3 laws implemented - not that people weren't willing to do it. (Although "The Lost Robot" implies that the 1st law could be relaxed somewhat.)

But as far as predictions go, Stanislav Lem had a much better one - that automated weapon eventually evolve into small robots (drones) that swarm.
