good question, and I think you have keyed into something.

imo, i think what draws people towards the newcomer is assertive action. when you go into a new place, that is a bold step no matter what the reason, and i think it draws people.

if that’s what you are describing, then you keep it fresh and alive by continuing to talk bold steps forward into the “unknown”

settling into the grind is boring, and there is no “upside”
so growing businesses, doing fresh things in the community, pushing bounds and limits will draw attention

just thinking outloud, might be completely off, shooting from the hip
