@Laeserin If you're near Austin make sure to try Rudy's BBQ, specifically the brisket (my favorite is moist outside cut for the best combo of burnt ends and fatty brisket).
It is in a gas station but don't let it fool you, it is pretty good.
Also "the peached tortilla" is really good spot for brunch.
