Someone told me that Microcenter sells a Mac Mini that can actually handle local models reasonably well for $400. It's always sold out though.

Shocking to hear that mac hardware is the most affordable self hosting option. I might just learn more about sandboxing and create a new user on my main PC or pay for a subscription for external resources. Thanks for the tip though.
