Both my wife and I had stupid amounts of student loans.
How much of our degrees do we use each day? About 0%…
I’ve learned more about business and leadership by doing it and non-college courses than whatever my degrees say I learned.
So much so that at age 14 my son is starting his first full fledged business.
Up until recently, college was not on his horizon. We believe in
A. Owning your own biz (no degree needed)
B. Degree Free way; get certifications if required
Only reason he is interested in college is for basketball, he wants to play in college/professionally.
But I’m mot paying for him to play nor will I endorse him taking out loans to do so.
He will either be good enough (aka put in the work now) that he gets a full ride scholarship or he won’t go.
