thinking about the latent cynicism in... well, everything.
go back 10 years and that kind of cynicism was more relegated to the internet. the average normalfag ate up the new thing and had an optimistic outlook, while nerds online were super critical of it. but now who's optimistic? there's nowhere to escape the cynicism, not in fiction or in reality. there's just literally no escapism left among the common man.
I want a way to bring it back. I can see the weariness amongst my family and friends, struggling even as the world just sucks their joy away. at least bring back their blissful ignorance instead of this universal hopelessness, man.
