Libro.fm, long my favourite choice for audiobooks because they distribute them as un-DRMed audio files and a portion of my purchase goes to a local brick-and-mortar store of my choice (this option may not exist in all countries; it works in Canada and the U.S. that I know of), is now entering the eBook fray.

They're going to publish more details in the future, but they say that if you have a libro.fm membership you'll be able to use your "credits" on either Audiobooks or eBooks (in addition to continuing to buy either a la carte).

Which... okay, but the plan is priced based on an audiobook service and ebooks are way cheaper, so maybe using plan credits for ebooks isn't as amazing a feature as it might sound. But nonetheless, I'm eager to see if they offer competitive a la carte prices.

It would be certainly nice to have a portion of my eBook sales go to local brick and mortar book stores.
