Iran may be a shithole terrorist state but this has nothing to do with bitcoin. Bitcoin protocol doesn't care who uses it. It just works.
Which brings me to a better question - why doesn't Iran use it as a de facto oil currency? Maybe because China pays oil only in yuan?
