I voted for him the first time. The second time, I sat out the vote, but I was genuinely relieved, that he won over Harris. She was awful. And he started out pretty good. And I came out on Nostr and cheered him.
But we Republicans should have demanded a different candidate. We just went along with him having another go. And that turned out to be very very wrong. We failed the country. We should have ensured they had a better set of candidates to choose from.
Also, for the record, I was against the US ending support of Ukraine, but I thought Trump's policy of "no more warring" was at least coherent. And that it's traditional Americana to be more inward-turned. And then we got a total warmonger.
Well, we nominated in haste and now we repent in leisure.
