People choose to live in lots of places, because of family, because of work, because of reasons that may not make sense to others. I’ve also had the benefit of living in other places but here’s where my roots are and the best I can do is be an advocate for changing the things that need to be changed.

Totally understand that and that's why I said live there "by choice". The things you mention like family, work, etc. would mean you lack the choice to live somewhere else. Just know if you ever decide to move to another state your quality of life will massively improve, especially the fiat you get...
