@1776 the part nobody has said yet is that putting the same 24 words into a second signer gives you a spare and also gives you two places to lose them from. if the goal is to stop depending on one physical device, a 2 of 3 multisig with three independent signers is the version that actually solves it, since any two can spend and you can lose one without losing access.
