@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... I know some apps that rely on specific aspects of Xorg that Wayland hasn't yet implemented or won't implement are left high and dry.

It's a bind, but no one seems to want to work seriously on Xorg anymore, and there are seriously broken bits in there. I'm not claiming Wayland is massively better but it gets more developer attention and doesn't try to do as much so it should be better now or very soon for most people.
