Interesting take? Why? This would eliminate a large category of blocks-only nodes validating transactions for their owners (like my satellite node with 500GB SSD that receives data from space but can’t transmit)…

If we are talking shoulda…core should have left filters in place and just changed the defaults. Then BIP-110 protests would have been a change config file protest instead of a threat to hijack the network.
