My father in law died suddenly on Friday. I'm now out helping get things in order at my mother in law's house. She is incapable of taking care of herself, due to memory and mobility issues.
I keep thinking of something I heard years ago about how children under 5 may talk a lot, but nothing they say actually matters. "That dog is brown! I saw a truck!" Etc etc
But with my mother in law's memory situation it's like 90% of what she says is mostly unimportant musings, and that final 10% is extremely important things like if she took her medication, or the password to the banking, or the name of a doctor/lawyer/etc. all of which are suddenly very important and need verification. ๐
