@Start9 and a common linux like ubuntu are easier these days. It only feels like it is more annoying because you don't know your way around yet.

Unless you need some specialist software like certain #hamradio cps everything you need is a click away and none of the annoyances.

Once you learn your way around it is far nicer. Kinda line switching from xitter to nostr.
