MGTOW has some retarded shit going on philosophically (from the disorganized perspectives I've seen) but the reasons for the movement do exist. There are problems all over, even if they aren't exactly what the manosphere types think they are.

Men should go the way they feel is right. That was always true. Checking out of society certainly won't fix things, but I understand the desire to given how shit things are in the dating world. And I saw a study recently that found women rated 80% of men as average or below, while men rated women pretty evenly and fairly. That's a problem and obviously an unrealistic view of reality. Social media has probably played a role in this. Dating apps, etc.

There are multiple issues at play for men and women. On the man side, many of us bought into the sitcom view of men and our role in marriages, which it turns out isn't what real women actually want. And men don't actually want to be bitched out constantly and belittled.

I just try to treat my wife like my partner with her own unique needs and strengths. Imperfect as hell but worth protecting for me.
