I've felt this truth throughout my own bitcoin journey. I've wondered if our job is to free the population or to just give them a better, more compassionate master? The problem with freedom is that it goes hand in hand with responsibility. Normies seem to fear personal responsibility as much as they fear uncertainty & anything different from the status quo.

Even among bitcoiners I see a fair a amount of what I would call Normy behaviour. Maybe this is required for humans to maintain cohesion in numbers, I don't know.

You might be right but I believe free choice must be respected.

I was born & raised normie, trained to fit in, but there's something within me that makes me generally disagreeable. Call it a spark, a soul or maybe just belligerence but there something that sets me a part in large groups. It's not just me though, in this large assemblies, I gravitate towards the outliers, the black sheep. This has been a repeating pattern & I didn't always see it in a positive light.

I believe that we can build a system that better reflects peoples preferences for responsibility. I don't think everyone is required to carry that full burden but leaching will not be tolerated. Everyone contributes value in their own way but nobody has a right to the fruits of someone else's efforts.

I guess what I'm saying is we he have to cater for outliers among the normies too. Some have the capacity & will to become their own leader despite how they were raised.

I think our best approach is to each build a new parallel system within the existing system. A second independent layer that is entirely opt in/out. We focus on building the world we want with other aligned self determined leaders. When the current system fails into chaos it's just a matter of deciding how you treat your local mob of hungry normies. Who do you let in to the citadel/community & what to do with the others.

My suspicion is that we are currently in the middle of a reset. A thinning of the herd of useless eaters before we consume ourselves into extinction.
