As I was reading your article, it resonated a recent experience. I've been on a 6 month wander of uk, spain, ireland, and south Africa. Many conversations about "the state of things" and personal financial situations. Met a few bitcoiners and there's always a direct conversation direction to building solutions but literally everyone else started responses to comments or questions with the same two words: "the government...". It has changed my mental model too along the same veins you discuss. State has created a min virus of dependency infrastructure that closes perceptions of solutions or sovereignty at the individual level. Has been very eye opening
