Yeah - it's a bitter pill looking at this chart. I think it's less about "winning" and more about there being a credible, high-quality option out there for the people that need it. Many (most?) people will never care about privacy, that's ok. We want to ensure that for the people that do - they have an option that is as good or better in terms of UX.
