Hi everyone! πŸ‘‹πŸ½

I’ve been noticing stingless bees visiting my blue butterfly bush every morning, and I’m thinking about starting a small hive to help with garden pollination. I’m a complete beginner and would love any tips like how to start or what to avoid.

Not aiming for honey, just excited to learn and support them 😊

Thank you so much! πŸ™πŸ½

Google Orchard Mason bees. Incredible pollinators. Much more effective than honey bees. No sting. They nest in wood blocks and lay larva. Baby bees grow in cocoons over summer then hibernate until next spring.

I love that your heart leads you to want to keep bees β™‘ This looks to be wild bees but I can’t be sure which kind or if they are indeed wild. If you want to keep honeybees, they will require a hive body, some supers and other tools, whether you plan to harvest honey or not. There are a few thin...

They are pretty easy to keep if you live in a tropical region.
