I just watched a bit of TVNZ news and the misinformation about data centers was appalling.
NZ already has 56 operational data centers with another 20 planned or under construction. The specialist being interviewed by TVNZ was using the information about existing data centers to dismiss concerns of power and water usage for #Ai data centers.
Ai data centers are a completely different beast and serve a different purpose from basic information systems.
I really wish our media had better budgets for journalists and some integrity rather than the crap that is broadcast to fill in time between advertisements.
