You should support proof-of-stake or proof-of-node, not proof-of-work. Most nodes are not Knots, and after the fork 0 bicoin nodes will be knots because knots will no longer be bitcoin after the fork. And most users online are idiots and do not represent the majority of bitcoiners.

Knots nodes account for 50% of all nodes running recent versions of the Bitcoin code. The other nodes are ancient builds not updated for years and full of security vulnerabilities and bugs.
