good question

I have an HP laser printer that is treating me OK. Don't use ink, clogs way to much. I have heard that Brother is a better printer in regards to privacy however. HP is know to brick their equipment as a result of updates meant to curb the use of non-HP toners.

Brother laser printers

Brother lasers last for ever. It is likely the interface to connect gets outdated before the printer dies. Mine is almost 11 years old and still runs fine with generic no name toner.

Get yourself a time-machine, go back to like 2010 (or maybe try eBay), and pick yourself up one of these. Mine still works great! I don't use it that much but the toner never dries out... it lasts literally years before I've used it up and need to replace it. https://support.hp.com/lt-en/product/d...

I have a Xerox Laser printer. It weighs a ton but works quite decently for years nowโ€ฆ. Only replaced the ink carridges once or twice so far. Much much better than ink jet.

โ€œSorry, I donโ€™t have a printerโ€ and wait for their next move.

I love my HP color LaserJet Pro. I buy toner once a year and run my homeschool through it so lots of printing Iโ€™ve had it for four years flawless.

That's one industry that could do with a shake up.

Outsourcing probably, so you donโ€™t have to deal with it.

I have tried many things. * E-ink pads are not the answer. Kids need a printer for school. * Laser printers are the only solution. * Never ever ever ever ever ever move to inkjet. * When selecting a printer, go for the highest capacity cartridges. * $500 to $1000 is not unreasonable for a good print...
