Before getting Into what kind of diet you’re about to start, may I suggest understanding caloric deficit.

True. For obvious reasons.
But losing weight shouldn't be the primary health metric as there are many unhealthy ways to lose weight through diet.

The body is complex and treats different fats differently.
Fun experiment.
Replace most of your fat intake with olive oil. Now 5X the amount of that olive oil. After a month tell me if you have gained excess weight or lost excess weight.
Then try the same with Macadamia nuts / macadamia nut oil (without the 5X boost even) and see if you get past a week without completely blowing out.
Your foundation is your microbiome. Build that first and everything else will fall into place. Eat for them, not for yourself. They will give you everything you need once they have what they need.
