I'm pretty used to sleeping in the cold, so I'm not worried about keeping it hot all night. Mostly that I just want some place during the day to be warm.

Six feet down might be a better idea, but I'm a little bit concerned about whether the tractor can pull that off. Also, I don't want to use too much diesel considering how expensive it is right now.

7x9 down six feet would be a lot, but just a narrow place to sit/sleep might be more doable. Re: the warm nook within a larger dry, cold shelter idea
