Not sure if this is in scope of what you are asking, but one thing I am running into RIGHT NOW is that most car-brands, including European ones, are rolling out new models with Android Auto OS-based infotainment systems. While you can ostensibly use these systems without a Google account, some features do require one. But no matter how you slice it, a large segment of new cars being sold today are Google-cloud connected, with all the privacy and sovereignty implications that implies.
