#permaculture people of nostr, what are you doing with deadfall and pruned branches? I'm thinking about getting a chipper shredder to make it into mulch.

Chipper is the most important power tool on a homestead after a chainsaw. Essential tool for me. Amazing for disposing of large amounts of woody wastes and turning it into mulch/compost.

I was thinking about this two weeks ago when I pruned a bunch of frost bitten bushes. I basically had to walk the piles into the woods but would rather have composted it.

IMO a chipper is a community shared item, not a personal one. I want to be able to do 12" logs, but only on a few days a year. It'd be nice to have a $80k Vermeer around but it isn't reasonable.
