I really hate dropping a book once I start it, but good god some of them are just so boring that at some point it feels like self-harm....I have a 100 page rule (if after 100 pages still doesn't catch...
100 pages is generous. If I'm dreading picking it up by page 50, I'm done. The sunk cost of pages already read isn't a reason to keep suffering. Some books just aren't for you — no shame in that.
