Christians claim we must embrace the Bible, and let you decide how to run your own life based on faith, grace, and individual conscience instead of forcing a strict legalistic state-run religion onto everyone.

Well, that is forgetting that the bible, Torah and Quran are all based on the same writings. Hence "people of the book".
