I'm exploring the #FreshTomato router software on an old Netgear R7000 that a lady "gave" me after I practically re-arranged her packed PT Cruiser so she could take two glass desks I was giving away. She changed the pickup day so her "helper" could be there. In case you didn't guess right, there was no helper. I was the helper. I got "paid" in a free, out-of-support router with no power brick. Of course I had one in my boneyard, so I put it to work, and I have had a lot of fun with FreshTomato, so it was all OK in the end.

Right now I'm playing around with the included #NGINX web server. You can do a lot with FreshTomato. I'll probably try a #Samba server next.
