I went on a internet research, to verify with multiple sources,
who most probably caused the initiation of violence during the protests in January.

all report on Irans government agencies murdering and prisoning their citizen.
While israeli involvment was certainly part of the picture as reported in isreal today (https://www.israeltoday.co.il/read/fact-vs-fiction-the-mossads-role-in-the-2026-iran-uprising/#:~:text=Israel%20is%20also,Mossad%E2%80%99s%20active%20networks.),
it remains unclear, how the support exactly was done.
Even when Israel and USA supported the uprising, this does not disqualify the uprising as an uprising of iranian people as grass roots protests.
USA and Israel can also intervene during grassroot protests. They can be true at the same time.
When you defend the claim, that (even just maby) a substential part of the killed citizen have been killed by CIA and Mossad agents.
The number of civilian casualties is naturally smaller, when the institution that causes the murders report the number of murdered people.
This is nothing suspicious. This is expected behaviour of every regime that kills people.
So I would not see, why a critical person would give any trust towards the number of the iranian government.
That the USA has their influence on Iran since many decades is defnitly true.

This is all a tragedy. But even with all the history. This does not change anything at current reporting on who commited the killings in the january protests within Iran. And it might explains the current situation, but it does not give legitimation to current actions of the iranian regime.
