this is a perspective i need to take. doing things for fun and learning is enough.

We might not generally think about it this way, but simple mathematics and language became commoditized. They were never monolithic, and took centuries to standardize and be broadly accessible. When those skills became so widely taught and used, that just meant that everyone is free to not only get more done, but play games, however useless, and experiment at the edges to see where they break.

That's why my ethos for my n=~1 software development projects users is to experiment around with how cursed I can make it while still remaining useful and functional to them (mostly me) ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸงŸ

when it gets time to be serious, that's where I'd hope i could retract from the edges, see where I'm comfortable, if I learned anything new and build something in that new space with confidence.
