I quit a job and moved back home to be around my granny when she was close to the end. I ended up staying there for 2 years while she hung on to life.

I'm glad I was there to hold her hand a few last times, even though it hurt to watch. She couldn't say much, but I could see in her eyes that it meant a lot.
