As a Proton (paying) user I've been following the most recent drama and trying to be careful in discernment about it....

Andy Yen seems to have had some real "bad boss" energy in the leaked comments, and he's sort of owned up to that. On the other hand there is a very real and kinda dumb reflexive anti-AI stance among a certain culture in the FOSS / privacy tech space (just hop over to Mastodon to see that in action). I imagine a big chunk of Proton's workforce is sympathetic to this perspective.
