Popped a bottle of my 2021 Merlot last week and it caught me off guard.

I like bright, light, fruity reds. The deep extracted stuff isn't normally my thing except for the strong seasonal food related cravings I get every fall.

This bottle had evolved. The tannins softened. Everything came together in a way that made me rethink the whole wine.

Yes I've watched Sideways.
I'm drinking another fucking Merlot.
