It is not absurd. It's a certainty. It's expected that a child will cry over a small stumble. It's also expected that an oligarch will not be punished by the oligarchy.
The absurdity is that people haven't created P2P work networks fully outside of government perview. They always feel like they have to "Register their business" or they could get sued or whatever.
