OpenAI is cutting subscription tokens in half starting tomorrow. In other words, you’d need 2 subs for usage you get today on one. This is a move towards phasing out subscriptions entirely.

It was expected. Subsidies cant be held long-term. But this in my opinion will drive people to cheaper models. Wdyt?

I’m guessing this will increase competition and lower prices unless they get the regulatory capture they’re pushing for. And I mean they, not just Anthropic. The entire ai industry is pushing for it secretly.
