I disagree. What happened is that some developers stopped coding and the difference between the based coders and those who were looking for a way to stop coding became clear.

Fair enough, but I'm not sure I follow what you're saying.

I understand: 1. some real coders quick coding (not sure why, b/c people can now AI-code ?); and I don't get 2. the difference between based and those who wanted out (are those who wanted out the ones who quit).

I guess my point is that the real coders, the ones who coded pre-AI, now all seem to be using AI to code.

Those who never liked coding can stop doing so, as many are. AI is one shiny way out (it's not the first or the only one, but it is shiny). The based ones are doing things that are much easier to express in code than natural language and a stochastic parrot wouldn't handle, so they can't switch and...
