The European Union banned the use of titanium dioxide in food products because of its carcinogenicity, but did not ban its use in medicines and cosmetics. How does that make sense? Well, in the case of cosmetics, we're told that titanium dioxide nanoparticles supposedly can't be present because of the viscosity of the base. But what about medicines? And here pharma basically said, "go fuck yourselves, we've been using this dye and we'll keep using it, and cancer patients are basically just a bonus to our revenue".
