So I think Nostr supports encrypted direct messages, right?
Or not really? Or there are different competing protocols, and some of them work, and others don't? Or none of them work?

im on amethyst and the encrypted dms work fine for me.. i think most clients use nip-17 now which is the newer one. the old protocol had some metadata leaks so yeah definitely make sure your client supports 17
