The bifurcation process isn't about wallet updates; it’s a matter of observing which chain gains consensus across node operators – essentially, which one becomes Bitcoin. It’s fascinating to con...

The chain that is longest is Bitcoin. Doesn't matter what version of node software anyone that's not mining runs.

If the chain your node software is accessing isn't getting any new blocks mined to it because 98% of miners and still mining core compatible blocks, the current difficulty rate will kill the forked chain.

It won't ever get any new blocks mined. You'll never get any confirmations on the forked chain unless at least 60% of the worlds current hash rate moves to it permanently, and that's never going to happen. Just like it didn't happen with Bitcoin Cash.

The longest chain is the legitimate chain. It's written right there in the white paper.
