🪢 Bitcoin consensus is managed by Bitcoin full nodes.
They are in the world:
• ~23,000–25,000 public/reachable full nodes (the visible network health benchmark).
• ~70,000–80,000 total active full nodes (broader estimate including private/domestic ones).
An attacker controlling more Bitcoin full nodes, for example 100,000 with a malicious version of Bitcoin full nodes, could change the consensus.
If you are a Bitcoiner run at least one Bitcoin full node to contribute to secure the network.
