#Hiking Pretty Canyon (that's really the name of the canyon), watching a very pale red-tailed hawk soaring above us, surfing the spring winds ... until a pugnacious kestrel came out and chased the redtail away. (We did see the redtail again later, farther upcanyon, where I guess it was out of the kestrel's nesting territory.)
