While I do agree seed oils are bad, they're not causing obesity.

Obesity is caused by overeating, ridiculous portions sizes and sugar drinks

In short, too many calories

Secondary is this idea that fat and meat is bad, but eating meat is the best way to actually feel full and satiated. Without them you end up stuffing yourself with empty carbs (which is sugar) and never feel satisfied.

But I am preaching to the choir here, its actually very rare to find an obese bitcoiner.

Yeah it's low satiety food that causes obesity, and generally metabolic dysfunction. Seed oils, especially soybean oil and corn oil, cause tons of additional complications, including brain fog and, if persisted for many years, reduced brain development and increased risk of dimentia symptoms. They a...

Cane sugar consumption has significantly decreased over the past decades, while unsaturated fat has skyrocketed (around the world) There are many factors at play to explain lack of satiety, huge portions, etc, also linked to lifestyle. In the USA some of these factors are very pronounced. You won'...

Big Food is big on carbs because they are massively addictive and cost very little to produce. The more products they can enrich with some kind of carb the better. Profit margins are much higher on cookies than they are on a steak. I think at this point in time you are almost better off doing nearl...

not always… more often then not these days obese people have fucked up circadian rhythms, especially the brain-gut axis. artificial light at night (ALAN) combined with no morning sunlight causes a huge leptin resistance. this is soo far upstream from many of the most important metabolic pathways. ...

Plant oils disrupt the satiety mechanism and insulin, both of which will result in overeating. So yes, they indirectly are causing obesity.

I am also an obese bitcoiner, struggling daily with a sugar addiction. Will I ever not be obese? Time will tell. Will I ever not be addictes to sugar? I doubt it. I will say that oils were not that hard to give up. I assume that I still consume some when dining out, but not enough to matter. I've ...

I would argue it's a lack of exercise, that being said seed oils expedite the fat storage process, and leave you inflamed. Someone who wants to lose fat should absolutely avoid seed oils, or else they will be pushing a boulder uphill.

Seedoil food is a major cause of over eating. French fries are highly addictive. Fried chicken is highly addictive. Etc... You don't have to be obese to ruin your organs, especially your heart - so it's not really a great point to be making either way.
