@Brie
I’ve spent the last 30+ hours trying to process a few facts that I know or at least remember to be true:

1) I watched a global watch party of the Bitcoin conference 2026 for 3 days

2) This was held at the Venetian in LV

3) Julian Assange was tortured and had a surveillance op ran against him by the owner/security of the Venetian Las Vegas

4) responsible for (at least) the surveillance that Jackjack and that filmmaker highlight in the Julian Assange movie on thesixbilliondollarman dot com

5) last year when I tried to tell everyone, “protect your identity, put on a mask, etc etc” for months people openly satirized me (fair) - “avoid the villas”

6) when Jack and the film maker drop the idea, “you’re in the hotel responsible for the surveillance torture apparatus that ran ops against Julian Assange, the man who really proved one of the first global use cases for Bitcoin”, bootstrapping Assange freedom… the audience just… applauded

And the x posts kept rolling in and there was a bunch of clips of things Jack said… all just repeated phrases of things he has already said about bitcoin a million times, no viral mention of the most crucial, most contextual part of the talk… which was the irony of people walking into a surveillance trap and then publicly applauding it

It felt like watching a horror film…

Maybe no one gives a shit,
Maybe I’m from a different era…
I remember Wikileaks like it was yesterday

Recently someone told me I have a privacy kink, idk what that means but I do know this- if you’ve ever experienced being stalked or watched against your will, there’s nothing in the world you value as much as privacy when you fight to get that privacy back

The torture and torment of being (notably) watched against your will, changes a person

Bitcoin has never been more necessary,
The protection of privacy and other sacred rights has never been more necessary

People always think that it will never happen to them.

im stumped by this as well, but dwelling on the stupidity and laziness of modern humans doesnt seem to be helping me feel better. we can simplify this problem and look at the amazing technology of fasting. people just ignore it and waddle along

Israel hoards the power of racial-nationalism for itself, but tries to deny it to other nations. Likewise, the Jewish power structure, which created both the Venetian casino and the Federal Reserve and a lot of other things, wishes to hoard and control as much Bitcoin as possible for itself, and the...

Bitcoin? That ain't private....Monero on the other hand will insure privacy. Your whole comment is great...until you get to the word Bitcoin.

Once when I was in jail they said a guy had to watch me 24/7 because I was suicidal, and jails have special jail cells for this with plexiglass doors and an open toilet and everything. I was only in there for like a day or two before I got released from jail, but in that time I was quickly giving l...

🤔 interesting. I wasn't watching at all. But this reminds me of a thing... Two people are running from a bear - one's a fatso, the other isn't. I'm glad I'm not the fatty.

never underestimate how entrenched the status quo is in the subconscious- even with people who can think beyond it.

I mean this is the same conference that had Donald Trump do his campaign speech right? We're not exactly on a crowd that takes the cypherpunk values to heart.
