The miner pools and the miners are not the same thing. The pools are far easier to capture, coordinate and centralize than the hashpower itself.

Yes. And lose all hashrate just as fast as miners go elsewhere. You make it sound like they're stuck on that pool.

The moment a pool is captured it becomes a threat of multiple kinds, to all parties involved. Game theory / incentives kick in even harder, then.

The flip side is real, too. Pools enable distributed coordination. This cuts both ways and, I believe, will balance itself out.

They are stuck on the most profitable pools. If the pools conapire, the majority of the hashpower is captured. This isn't rocket science, guy.
