A temporary Soft fork is not a shitcoin. It most likely will activate and is not adding new features or modifications to Bitcoin. A chain split would require a ursf or miners ignoring a huge percentage of nodes - if that were the case Bitcoin would no longer prove to be decentralized and the main chain would be by definition a shitcoin
