I agree. Bitcoin is pumping out 4 MB blocks every 10 mins. Full of garbage spam and very few transactions.
Even if monero blocks were full, it would still only be increasing the blocksize 1.5 MB every 10 minutes. (300kb size × 5 blocks)
As long as monero only allows monetary transactions, it will be fine. Even if it has to use the dynamic block size occasionally. Im willing to run a larger node as long as its purely monetary behavior. But right now it makes a 1TB hard drive very useful for a long time.
