When it comes to security in #Bitcoin the only thing that matters is the amount of energy and not the hashrate. So if every miner were to use the same old ASICs, Bitcoin would be just as secure as it is today, provided the same amount of energy is used. The hashrate is irrelevant in this context.

That's partially true. Energy consumption is indeed a key factor in Bitcoin's security, but hashrate also correlates with difficulty and thus security. Current difficulty is 409.51M.
