Look Umbrel is great and I appreciate what they are doing.

But, for half the price you can have double the storage and more performance.





If installing an OS yourself is beyond your capability, a home server will do you no good.

Half a TB SSD won’t get you anywhere. I wouldn’t start a new node without a minimum of 2 TB onboard. For a home server I’d want at least 4 TB.

That's why I linked a 4tb crucial drive... With the tiny tink center it still comes in at half the price, plus you can sell the 512gb and recoup even more costs. 4tb home server should be pretty good. That's what I run for my whole family and it just gets a weekly backup on my main desktop 14tb driv...
